The South China Sea Deep Session at 2016 AGU Fall Meeting

During AGU 2016 Fall Meeting, a special session “South China Sea: A natural laboratory for investigating marginal sea tectonic, oceanographic/paleoceanographic, and biogeochemical processes” was held, and was composed of 2 oral sessions and 1 poster session (OS51C, OS53C and OS54B). Research progresses of study on the South China Sea, many of which were supported by “The South China Sea Deep”, a major research program of National Science Foundation of China, were presented at the session. Post-cruise researches of IODP 349 Expedition and preparatory works for the coming IODP 367/368 Expedition were also introduced.
